On this page you will find links and information about software, apps and other helpful tools and equipment I like using for photo organising projects. I value trust and honesty and am assuring you that these are no affiliate links if not mentioned otherwise. The list will constantly be changing and is by no means complete.

Digital Photo Organising

iMazing is my absolute favourite tool to download photos from an iPhone or iPad to a Windows computer! However, it can do much, much more than this. It is a trusted software to transfer and save your music, messages, files and data. On top of that, you can safely back up any iPhone, iPad or iPod touch. (affiliate)

Photo Mechanic is a paid, fast media browser for Mac and Windows to help view, organise, manage and export digital photos. It is my go-to software to batch add metadata to photos and videos, such as very customised filenames, keywords and descriptions / captions.

Adobe Photoshop Lightroom is a paid professional photo management software (for Windows and Mac) that allows viewing, organising and editing large numbers of digital images. Edits are non-desctructive, which means you can always revert back to the original.

Adobe Bridge is a free app for Mac and Windows (you will need a free Adobe account though). It gives you centralised access to all the files and assets you need for your creative projects. Organise personal and team assets, batch edit with ease (e.g. add keywords), add watermarks, set centralised colour preferences and more. Adobe Bridge acts like a browser, no need to copy or import your files.

PhotoSweeper PhotoSweeper is a duplicate photos finder for Mac users. You can find duplicates in Photos libraries and/or images that are stored outside of Photos.

PowerPhotos Duplicate photo finder and tool to merge Mac Photos libraries. It only works if the images are in a Photos library.

Duplicate Cleaner Pro Duplicate photo finder for Windows users

NameChanger for Mac is an easy to use app to batch-rename your files. It is free, donations appreciated.

Advanced Renamer for Windows is an easy to use app to batch-rename your files.

Photo Move 2.5 for Windows is a program that automatically moves photos to directories of folders based on the exif date taken.

A Better Finder Attributes for Mac can change file creation and modification dates.

DigiKam for Mac and Windows. The application provides a comprehensive set of tools for importing, managing, editing, and sharing photos and raw files. It’s like a browser, no need to import or copy your photos.
